This is to inform you about an upcoming community event that will benefit the children of Pilsen.  We are doing our 4th  Annual Pilsen's Back 2 School Bash, which will take place at Juarez Community Academy, Saturday August 28, 2010 from 12-3pm.  Last years event was a huge success and we are looking forward to this year to be a bigger and better event.  We had the honor of having our esteemed Mayor Daley speak at last year’s event.  This event is a collaboration of efforts from New Life Pilsen Church, the City of Chicago, 25^th Ward Alderman Danny Solis, Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Schools, local businesses and community-based organizations.

This event will include music, dancing, singing, health fair, and from Chicago Public School students.  We are stressing the importance of being at school the very first day and the remainder of the school year.  Free school supplies will be given to the first 1,000 children so that they will be ready for school.    

We are looking to partner with you to make this special event a reality.  We are looking for a financial donation or donations of school supplies or school uniforms to make this event a success.  Your company can sponsor the whole event or choose to sponsor an area.  The children of Pilsen are in great need and we are looking to you to help meet this need.  All donations are tax deductible and will be used solely for this event.  Any questions about this event please feel free to contact Rev.
